I'm veteran game developer with 10 years experience, primarily working as a 3D Artist. here is my portfolio www.mikeamerson.com It is not maintained regularly but there is some artwork in there to view.
I gradually moved into Iphone game development in my spare time, while continuing to work at studios as a lead artist.
In march of 2010, Our First title "My Virtual Girlfriend" for iphone/ipad came out and sales were very slow and steady- it averaged about 20 per day. Admit tingly- it was average at best. Our levels didn't go past 4, and it was receiving "average" reviews. So 3 updates and 8 months later- we were able to really improve the gameplay, Make the levels to 20+ (infinite- but no new content after 20). Lately, it has become somewhat of a success story and ranks currently in the top 100 entertainment apps in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and a few others. It was developed by my partner and I(2 man team) He coded, i did the rest, project management, art, marketing, etc. Together, we form our virtual indie studio called "WET productions". He works remotely from the UK and I am located in America. We never met each other in Real life- everything we have done has been through the internet. From project collaboration to business dealings.I love to help others, I am very generous to devoting my time to enable others to succeed. I can offer advice in many aspects (especially marketing resources). I share with anyone who asks because I don't believe there is any direct competition in this space and that we can only benefit from helping each other. I'm very transparent with my resources, if you gain something from me- i just ask you return the favor by helping someone else.
